About Coco Coir:
Coco coir is an organic, finely milled potting substrate made from the inner fibrous husk of the coconut. Sustainably sourced as a byproduct of coconut processing, it's one of the most versatile and widely used components in modern houseplant potting mixes.
Renowned for its excellent balance of drainage and moisture retention, coco coir holds nutrients close to the roots while allowing excess water to pass through freely — reducing the risk of waterlogging and root rot. It's used as the base in all of Soil Ninja's species-specific blends, and works equally well as a standalone medium or mixed with perlite, grit, or bark.
