Establish absolute control over your nursery and vegetative phases with Cultiwool Grow Cubes. While starter mediums might look like a minor detail compared to the rest of your hydroponic setup, choosing a premium substrate at this stage dictates the future vigour of your canopy. These professional-grade stonewool cubes provide a completely sterile, stable, and highly aerated environment designed specifically to eliminate early transplant stress and cultivate massive, resilient root systems.
By putting you firmly in the driving seat, Cultiwool allows you to manage your watering cycles with precision. This ensures your seedlings, cuttings, and establishing plants develop with total uniformity, maximising final yields while reducing the risk of early crop failure.
Core Cultivation Advantages:
-
Advanced Air-to-Water Zoning: Cultiwool’s unique fibre orientation offers an exceptional, highly strategic drainage design. The cubes are engineered to let air flow freely through the upper layers while retaining a vital reservoir of water and nutrient solution at the base. This provides emerging root tips with constant access to hydration without suffocating the upper root zone.
-
Superior Saturation & Re-Saturation: Unlike lower-grade rockwool that resists moisture after drying out, Cultiwool possesses exceptional wetting and re-wetting properties. The blocks absorb water instantly and uniformly, preventing dry pockets and uneven nutrient distribution.
-
Positive Impact on EC Stability: These cubes are chemically stable and highly predictable, offering excellent management over your root-zone Electrical Conductivity (EC). They do not store or spike mineral salts unpredictably, allowing you to fine-tune your liquid feeding schedules.
-
Sterile & High-Performance Matrix: Naturally resistant, durable, and highly reliable. Cultiwool maintains its exact physical structure and density even when fully saturated, keeping your plants upright and secure throughout the critical vegetative phase.

Step-by-Step Propagation Guide:
Prepare your Cultiwool blocks by soaking them thoroughly in a mild, pH-adjusted starter nutrient solution to condition the stonewool fibres and stabilise the rooting environment.
Place 1–3 seeds into the pre-formed hole in the centre of each cube, gently pressing them down 1–2 inches, or insert your freshly prepared clone cuttings.
Arrange the cubes on a clean propagation tray and place them inside your propagator setup, keeping them away from direct light until initial germination or root strike occurs.
Once the seeds have germinated or roots show, introduce your nursery lighting. When 3–4 true leaves have appeared and roots emerge from the block, plant or plug them directly into your primary hydroponic system.
