Take absolute control of your large-scale hydroponic facility with Cultiwool X-Fibre Slabs. Engineered explicitly for commercial drip irrigation and run-to-waste systems, these high-performance stonewool slabs are designed for crops with extensive root networks. By utilizing Cultiwool's patented "X-Fibre" technology, this substrate ensures completely uniform water distribution and root-zone aeration, allowing large groups of plants to develop at an identical pace for optimized, predictable, and maximized yields.

X-Fibre technology positions the mineral wool fibres in a unique matrix that provides exceptional structural stability and vertical capillary action, delivering a "best-in-class" commercial cultivation experience.

Core Cultivation Advantages:

  • Smart Hydro-Balancing (55%–75% Saturation): Cultiwool X-Fibre slabs are engineered to automatically self-regulate. They effortlessly maintain a highly targeted volumetric water content (VWC) between 55% and 75%. If the moisture content climbs too high, the slab's internal structure releases the excess water to prevent root suffocation.

  • Elite Capillary Re-Saturation: Unlike low-grade slabs that become hydrophobic and channel water down the sides when slightly dry, Cultiwool offers instant, total re-saturation. Nutrient solutions disperse horizontally and vertically with perfect uniformity, completely eliminating dry zones.

  • Sustainable Water & Nutrient Savings: Thanks to its high-precision moisture distribution, your run-to-waste or recirculating drip cycles can be optimized down to the milliliter. This drastic reduction in nutrient runoff and water wastage saves you money on inputs while significantly lowering your environmental footprint.

  • Positive Impact on EC Stability: The completely inert matrix allows for flawless, predictable control over your root-zone Electrical Conductivity (EC). It does not lock up or unpredictably dump mineral salts, giving you a clean slate to steer your plants generatively or vegetatively via irrigation timing.

  • Perfect Target for Block Up-Potting: Seamlessly compatible with Cultiwool Grow Cubes. Once your young plants have filled out their vegetative blocks, simply place them directly onto the top of the X-Fibre slab. The roots will cleanly and aggressively grow down into the slab with zero transplant shock.

How to Use Cultiwool X-Fibre Slabs:

 1.Fully saturate the slab:Slab Conditioning.

Before planting, fill the plastic sleeve completely with a mild, pH-adjusted nutrient solution. Allow the stonewool matrix to soak thoroughly for up to 24 hours to condition the fibres.

2.Make your drainage slits:Drainage Cuts.

Cut precise drainage slits in the bottom of the plastic sleeve at the lowest point of your slab table or channel. This allows the self-regulating water mechanism to release excess solution.

3.Position your grow blocks:Up-Potting.

Cut openings in the top of the sleeve to match your plant spacing, then place your fully rooted Cultiwool Grow Cubes directly onto the exposed stonewool.

4.Insert your dripper stakes:Drip Setup.

Position your online drip emitters or stakes directly into the top blocks. The vertical X-Fibre orientation will instantly pull the solution downward and distribute it evenly across the slab.
