Maximise your storage efficiency and cultivate with pristine hydroponic precision using Plagron Cocos Brix. This premium, space-saving pack contains six compact, dehydrated blocks made from high-grade coconut coir. It offers the ultimate mess-free, shelf-stable alternative to heavy, bulky bags of loose media—making it perfect for smaller operations, clean indoor grow rooms, or any grower needing a fresh, high-quality substrate top-up on demand.

Each individual block expands rapidly when soaked, yielding approximately 7 litres of ultra-clean, ready-to-use coco coir (giving you a total of 42 litres per pack). Fully washed, calcium-buffered, and boasting an exceptionally low background EC, Cocos Brix provides an ideal, highly aerated root zone that promotes rapid nutrient uptake and explosive plant development.

Core Cultivation Advantages:

  • Full Calcium Buffering: Unlike raw, low-grade coco bricks that lock up vital plant food, Plagron Cocos Brix is pre-treated with calcium nitrate. This full chemical buffering process satisfies the coco’s natural cation exchange capacity, ensuring your magnesium and calcium inputs remain fully bio-available to your plants rather than getting trapped in the medium.

  • Elite Air-to-Water Dynamics: Renowned for its superb aeration properties and high water-retention capacity. The expanded fibres hold onto your nutrient solution reliably while keeping vital macro-oxygen pockets open around the root zone, significantly reducing the risk of waterlogging.

  • Strict R.H.P. Quality Certification: Awarded the independent R.H.P. stamp of approval. This ensures the coir is completely free from soil-borne pathogens, weed seeds, or coastal salt contaminants. It delivers a highly stable, uniform substrate with a pristine, low baseline EC every single time.

  • Ultimate Storage Convenience: Lightweight, dry, and incredibly compact. These bricks store cleanly in a shed or grow room cupboard without the mess, pests, or moisture-degradation risks associated with open, wet bags of soil or loose coir.

  • Dual-Purpose Versatility: While it shines as a standalone hydroponic medium, it doubles as an elite soil conditioner. After your indoor cycle, or straight out of the pack, it can be worked into outdoor garden beds to loosen and lighten dense, clay-heavy soils, or to improve the water-holding capabilities of dry, sandy soils.

Quick Hydration & Usage Guide:

1.Prepare your container:Placement.

Place one dry Plagron Cocos Brick into a clean, large bucket or flexi-tub capable of holding at least 10 litres of volume.

2.Add clean water:Hydration.

Pour 4 litres of water over the brick. Regularly turn or gently squeeze the block to break up the layers and speed up water absorption.

3.Allow to expand:Expansion.

Leave the brick to soak for 20 to 30 minutes. The compressed block will rapidly expand into roughly 7 litres of fluffy, premium coco coir.

4.Balance your nutrients:Application.

Add your chosen hydroponic nutrient solution each time you water, ensuring you include a quality Cal-Mag supplement and adjust your final feed solution to a targeted pH of 5.5 before irrigating.
